AUTOOL HTS558 Engine Carbon Deposit Cleaner Feature:

What is Carbon Deposition?
There are some hydrocarbon oil residues stuck in the intake tract and cylinder of the engine. When fuel enters the engine and does not burn completely, at high temperatures the residue turns into a hard black crust called carbon deposits.

Why are clean carbon deposits needed?
Carbon deposits reduce the air-fuel ratio, reduce engine performance, increase fuel consumption, and cause the engine to shake dramatically at idle... all of which cause tremendous damage to the engine. Therefore, you should normally clean the carbon deposits every 40,000 - 50,000 kilometers.

What is walnut powder (sand)?
Walnut sand is a pure natural polishing agent, its hardness is lower than that of metal but higher than that of carbon deposits, it cleans the intake pipe and the back of the intake valve thoroughly without damage. A large number of particles in the walnut sand ensures high absorption capacity and prevents corrosion. The walnut powder is hardly soluble in acids, alkalis and water. The walnut shell is crushed into powder and after a strict selection process we get walnut sand. This has high performance in the three areas of hardness, pressure resistance and wear resistance.

How is it used?
1. Open the top cover of AUTOOL HTS558 and pour walnut powder (2 - 4 kg), press the dust cover on the walnut powder and close the cover.
2. Connect the mouth of the spray gun to the return hose (there is a hole on the return hose).
3. Remove the engine intake manifold, insert the spray gun into the intake manifold and rotate the crankshaft to close the intake valve. Then connect the high pressure air pump (not included) to the HTS558.
4. Connect power, start cleaning. The process should take 1-3 minutes. (Depending on the circumstances of carbon deposition)
5. Switch off the AUTOOL HTS558 and check the cleaning result. Normally the walnut powder can be reused 5 - 10 times. (Depending on the circumstances of carbon deposition)

Recommended:
1 The pressure of the air pump should be more than 0.7Mpa (7bar/102PSI).
2 walnut powder diameter should be between 0.4-0.8mm, quantity in 2-4KG(4-9LB)
3 Cleaning time between 1-3 minutes

Projectile tip:
AUTOOL HTS558 is a special machine for cleaning the engine intake pipe and the back of the intake valves.

Close the car's intake valve, then spray the walnut powder into the engine intake with the help of an air pump (not included), while the HTS558 recycles the walnut powder by vacuum.

High-precision engine systems react sensitively to foreign bodies in the intake pipe, such as the BMW Valvetronic system.

That's why we need AUTOOL HTS558 to clean carbon deposits in the intake pipe. The engine should be turned off before cleaning, then turn the crankshaft to close the intake valve. AUTOOL HTS558 can only clean one intake pipe at a time. For example, for 6-cylinder engines, it should be cleaned 6 times in a row.

AUTOOL HTS558 is only suitable for cleaning the intake pipe and the back of the intake valve. If you want to clean the injector/throttle body/cylinder from carbon deposits, please choose AUTOOL CT150, AUTOOL CT200 or AUTOOL C100.
