Autel Update Licenses

Update licenses are digital goods – nothing is sent by parcel. Once payment has been received, you get the activation code or the confirmation of activation by email and activate the extension via your Autel account. For some licenses, activation by the manufacturer can take a few working days; this is then noted on the product page.

The license is activated for the serial number of your Autel device. Please enter the serial number in the mandatory field on the product page – it then appears in your cart and order. Not sure whether a license fits your device? Give us the model and serial number and we will check the match before you buy. Exception: browser-based HaynesPro access does not require a serial number.

An Autel update license extends the update period of your device by 12 months. During this time you download all available software and vehicle data updates directly to the device as usual – including new vehicle models and extended diagnostic and service functions. Different scopes, such as token packages for SGW unlocks, are described on the respective product page.

Yes. Even without an extension your device remains fully functional – diagnostics, service functions and the last installed software version remain available without restriction. An active update license is only needed to download new updates.

Licenses and unlocks are digital content and are excluded from the right of withdrawal, as the activation code is provided immediately after purchase.
