Cat ET (Caterpillar Electronic Technician) is available pre-installed on various Panasonic Toughbook models (CF-19, CF-20, CF-31, CF-33, CF-54, CF-D1) as well as on the Getac S410. All host computers are overhauled, tested and ready to use immediately.

Cat ET reads active and logged fault codes, displays and records live data, changes configurable parameters, carries out calibrations and service functions, runs tests such as cylinder cut-out and actuator control, and programs control units. Which functions are actually available depends on the machine, series, model year and ECU.

Covered are excavators of the 300 series, wheel loaders of the 900 series, track-type tractors of the D series, motor graders of the 120, 140 and 160 series, articulated trucks, compact and backhoe loaders as well as road construction machines. Added to this are the Cat industrial and machine engines from C4.4 to C32 and the 3406E series – up to model year 2026.

The connection runs via the supplied Comm Adapter 3 (478-0235) and the data cables 457-6114 and 370-4617. Through these, Cat ET communicates with the machine’s control units via CAT Data Link (CDL), J1939 CAN and J1708.
