The OBD connector is the interface between vehicle and diagnostic tool. Since 2001 (petrol) and 2004 (diesel), new vehicles in Europe use the standardised 16-pin OBD2 connector; older vehicles and many commercial vehicles instead need a manufacturer-specific OBD1 port. Here you will find the matching connectors, adapter cables and special adapters – for cars, trucks and motorcycles, from €19.
