The Actia 4401202/B USB module establishes the connection between the VAS 6154A diagnostic interface and the computer. It transmits fault memory, measured value blocks, and coding data between the vehicle and the diagnostic software.

It is used wherever ODIS or comparable workshop systems are used to work on vehicles of the VAG group – in brand workshops, independent workshops with a VAG focus, and on test benches.

Why the connection is crucial

When programming and updating control units, new software is transferred to the vehicle. If the connection breaks during this process, the control unit can be damaged. The shielded data line and the stable connector are therefore not an accessory detail, but the reason for the price difference compared to simple USB cables.

Also important for live data

When reading sensor values, temperatures, pressures, and speeds in real time, data flows continuously. Interruptions in transmission lead to gaps in the measurement series and thus to misinterpretations in diagnosis.

This item is a connection module and not a standalone diagnostic device. It does not read fault codes itself, but establishes the connection between the diagnostic interface and the computer. Which functions are available depends on the interface used and the diagnostic software.
