Many faults announce themselves through heat: an overheated component, a hot connector, a dragging brake. The Thinkcar PTC207 makes these temperature differences visible. The small thermal camera plugs in via USB-C and is used with the Thinkcar TC Thermal Imaging App – on an Android smartphone or on compatible THINKCAR diagnostic tools.
Use in the workshop
Engine: quickly locate overheated parts such as the cylinder block or turbocharger. Electrics: detect abnormal heating of batteries, wiring harnesses and connectors. Brakes: compare the temperature distribution of pads and discs. Air conditioning: visualise pipe temperatures. Electric and hybrid vehicles: monitor the temperature rise of battery packs and motors.
Robust and mobile
The PTC207 is dust and splash protected to IP54, drop and impact resistant and therefore suitable for everyday workshop use as well as outdoors. At 60 × 39 × 13.5 mm and 30 g it fits in any pocket.
