The Honda 5 Pin adapter cable connects the manufacturer-specific 5-pin Honda diagnostic port to the standard 16-pin OBD2 socket. Existing diagnostic interfaces, workshop devices and OBD2 adapters can therefore continue to be used without a special solution.

Why an OBD1 adapter is needed

Honda vehicles from the era before the standardised OBD2 interface have a manufacturer’s own diagnostic connector. A diagnostic device with a 16-pin OBD2 socket cannot be plugged in directly.
