Autel MaxiBAS BT609 – battery diagnostics and vehicle diagnostics in one device
The Autel MaxiBAS BT609 is the flagship of the MaxiBAS battery tester range and combines professional battery and electrical system diagnostics with full all-system fault code diagnostics. The Android tablet with a 7-inch touchscreen (1280 × 800 pixels) guides you through every test with illustrated instructions and, on request, creates a clear battery health report. Thanks to adaptive conductance technology, the BT609 delivers precise results on the actual condition of the battery – ideal for independent workshops that offer battery service and diagnostics commercially in workshop quality.
Battery test in and out of the vehicle
The BT609 tests 6 V and 12 V starter batteries from 100 to 3000 CCA – installed in the vehicle (in-vehicle) or removed on the workbench (out-of-vehicle). It supports the battery types flooded, AGM, AGM spiral, EFB and GEL according to the CCA, CA, SAE, EN, IEC, DIN, JIS and MCA standards. Via AutoVIN/VINscan, the device automatically identifies the vehicle and assigns the matching battery data. The MaxiBAS B200 battery test module with Kelvin clamps is included; type S and type T adapters for side-post batteries are also supplied.
Starter and charging system test for 12 V and 24 V
In addition to the battery, the BT609 also checks the starter and alternator: the starter and charging system test works on 12 V and 24 V systems in a measuring range from 1.5 to 36 V – with integrated temperature compensation for reliable results.
All-system diagnostics and service functions
Via the included MaxiVCI V200 Bluetooth interface, the BT609 reads and clears fault codes in all accessible control units of the vehicle. In addition, there are service functions such as the oil service reset and battery registration (BMS) – after a battery replacement, the new battery is registered in the vehicle directly on the device. The range of functions depends on the respective vehicle manufacturer, model and control unit and is not fully available on every vehicle.
The difference to the MaxiBAS BT608
Compared to the Autel MaxiBAS BT608, the BT609 offers a larger 7-inch display (instead of 5.5 inches), a significantly stronger 5800 mAh battery (instead of 3000 mAh), 64 GB of storage (instead of 32 GB) and additional service functions beyond pure battery diagnostics. The BT608, on the other hand, scores with a built-in thermal printer – on the BT609, reports are output and shared digitally.
