Autel MaxiSys Ultra EV – the flagship for diagnostics on electric, hybrid and combustion vehicles

The MaxiSys Ultra EV is the top model of the MaxiSys series and is aimed at independent workshops that increasingly see electric and hybrid vehicles on the lift alongside classic combustion cars. The professional automotive diagnostic tablet is based on a fast Android operating system with a high-performance Samsung Exynos octa-core processor, 256 GB of internal storage and a 12.9-inch Retina display with 2732 × 2048 pixels. The capacitive screen responds even with gloves or dirty fingers – workshop quality for daily use. Despite the enormous performance, the intelligent battery management ensures long runtimes, while the included docking station provides convenient charging and a clear overview at the workstation.

As a multi-brand diagnostic tool, the MaxiSys Ultra EV covers more than 100 US, Asian and European manufacturers and offers exceptional OE-level functionality: support for all control units including actuator tests, initialisations and adaptation functions, AutoScan across all installed control units, topology mapping with a status overview of all ECUs (on compatible vehicles), guided troubleshooting with DTC analysis, online analysis of fault codes as well as fault fixing with real repair instructions, repair tips and a video library.

Two versions to choose from

Both versions offer the same full diagnostic feature set – the difference lies in the update period and expandability:

• International version: includes 1 year of free software updates.
• EU version (surcharge): includes 2 years of free software updates, is ADAS-capable (via optional software & hardware upgrade) and the EU SGW package as well as Haynes Pro can be activated for the EU version – the secure gateway unlock for protected control units, e.g. on VW, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Stellantis and Renault vehicles.

EV diagnostics: upgrade kit for electric and hybrid vehicles included

Included in the scope of delivery is the upgrade kit for EV diagnostics with the EVDiag Box and an extensive set of adapter cables. This prepares the system for the growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles in independent workshops. In addition to the classic brands, the list of supported manufacturers also includes numerous electric vehicle brands such as Tesla, Polestar, BYD, NIO, Xpeng, Zeekr and VinFast.

MaxiFlash VCMI – diagnostic interface and measurement technology in one device

The included MaxiFlash VCMI diagnostic interface is at the same time a fully-fledged measurement module: 4-channel oscilloscope with 20 MHz bandwidth, 80 MS/s sampling rate and 32 MB buffer memory, plus multimeter, waveform generator and CAN bus testing. A preset library with guided tests, connection diagrams and reference waveforms shows step by step how to connect the oscilloscope to analyse faults.

As a J2534 pass-thru interface, the VCMI supports the SAE J2534-1 and J2534-2 programming standards as well as the OEM pass-thru standards J2534, D-PDU and RP1210 – including DoIP, CAN FD and Mega-CAN. This makes possible, among other things, online programming and coding of BMW vehicles, online coding (SCN) of Mercedes vehicles as well as online backup and restoration of codings on Audi vehicles (using OE software, manufacturer access required). Thanks to the OE compatibility, diagnostics at dealership level are possible.

Which vehicles and functions are actually available always depends on manufacturer, model, model year and control unit. Goods are regularly delivered by shipping to the delivery address provided by the customer. The delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process is decisive for the transaction. Deviating from this, if PayPal is selected as the payment method, the delivery address stored by the customer with PayPal at the time of payment is decisive.

If delivery to the customer was not possible and the shipping company returns the shipped goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs for the unsuccessful shipment. This does not apply if the customer exercises their right of withdrawal by refusing acceptance, if they are not responsible for the circumstance that led to the impossibility of delivery, or if they were temporarily prevented from accepting, unless the seller announced the service to them a reasonable time in advance.
