Description
Description
The Thinkcar EVC303 is a high-precision, non-destructive test system for leak testing high-voltage battery packs in electric vehicles. Using compressed air and highly sensitive pressure sensors, it detects leaks in the battery housing reliably and reproducibly – a professional test device in workshop quality for independent workshops, battery service centres and commercial test facilities.
- ✔ Test pressure 0–30 kPa with 1 Pa sensor resolution
- ✔ Measuring accuracy ±5 Pa
- ✔ Non-destructive testing with dry compressed air
- ✔ Automatic test sequence in four phases
- ✔ Automatic documentation of test results
- ✔ Purchase on account available (Klarna or PayPal)
How the leak test works
The EVC303 introduces a low test pressure (0–30 kPa) into the battery housing using dry compressed air. A pressure sensor with a resolution of 1 Pa measures the pressure change over time: if the housing is sealed, the pressure remains stable – if it drops below a defined threshold, the system detects a leak. The test sequence comprises four phases:
- Filling phase: building up the test pressure in the battery housing
- Stabilisation phase: pressure equalisation to compensate for material expansion
- Test phase: monitoring the pressure drop to detect leaks
- Venting phase: releasing the pressure and resetting the system
Why battery pack tightness matters
A leaking battery pack can let in moisture, dust or gases – with the risk of short circuits, corrosion or fire. The EVC303 checks tightness before installation or after a repair, for example after a cell replacement or drying. As the test is non-destructive, the battery pack remains undamaged; this saves material and time compared with water or helium tests.
Areas of application
- Service and repair: leak testing after opening a high-voltage battery pack
- Quality inspection: checking battery module housings and seals
- End-of-line testing: testing every pack before vehicle assembly
Operating requirements
Operation requires a supply of dry compressed air (0.1–1.0 MPa) and a mains connection. Suitable test adapters are needed to connect to the respective battery housing – please contact us before ordering and we will clarify the connection to your battery packs.

Shipping and payment terms
Shipping and payment terms
Free shipping from €50 (Germany) – within the EU from €100
Delivery
Delivery is made to the delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process. By way of exception, where PayPal is selected as the payment method, the delivery address stored with PayPal at the time of payment is decisive.
If delivery to the customer was not possible and the transport company returns the goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs of the unsuccessful delivery. This does not apply where the customer exercises their right of withdrawal by refusing acceptance, where they are not responsible for the circumstance that made delivery impossible, or where they were temporarily prevented from accepting the goods – unless the seller had given them reasonable advance notice of the delivery.
Shipping costs
- Germany: free from an order value of €50, below that €3.99
- European Union: free from an order value of €100, below that €14.99
- Switzerland: €20.00
- United Kingdom: GBP 20.00
Delivery area and delivery time
We deliver to Germany, to the 26 other countries of the European Union and to Switzerland and the United Kingdom. We are currently unable to deliver to other countries.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Thinkcar EVC303 used for?
What is the Thinkcar EVC303 used for?
The EVC303 tests the tightness of high-voltage battery packs in electric vehicles. It detects leaks in the battery housing through which moisture, dust or gases could enter – for example after opening a pack for a cell replacement or after drying.
Does the test damage the battery pack?
Does the test damage the battery pack?
No. The EVC303 works non-destructively with a low test pressure of 0–30 kPa and dry compressed air. The battery pack remains undamaged, and compared with water or helium tests you save material and time.
What else do I need for operation?
What else do I need for operation?
You need a supply of dry compressed air (0.1–1.0 MPa), a mains connection (AC 90–264 V) and suitable test adapters for the respective battery housing. Please contact us before ordering – we will clarify the connection to your battery packs.
How accurately does the EVC303 measure?
How accurately does the EVC303 measure?
The pressure sensor resolves 1 Pa, and the measuring accuracy is ±5 Pa. The test runs automatically in four phases (filling, stabilising, testing, venting), and the results are documented.
