Description
Vacuum pump 4.8 CFM with 4-way manifold set – the complete package for evacuating
- ✔ Single stage vacuum pump with 4.8 CFM (about 136 l/min) and 1/4 hp motor
- ✔ Ultimate vacuum down to 5 Pa – deep enough for reliable drying
- ✔ 4-way manifold set for R134a, R410A and R22
- ✔ Hoses and adapters are included – ready to use straight away
- ✔ Oil sight glass and drain screw for an easy oil change
- ✔ Carry handle, compact enough for mobile use
Before an air conditioning system is charged it has to be evacuated. The vacuum pulls air and above all moisture out of the system – moisture forms acid together with the refrigerant and destroys the compressor over time. This set brings pump and gauges together so you do not have to buy two tools separately.
The vacuum pump
- 4.8 CFM flow rate: even larger systems are evacuated in reasonable time
- 5 Pa ultimate vacuum: deep enough for residual moisture to evaporate at room temperature
- Single stage: simple design, low maintenance, sufficient for vehicle and domestic systems
- Oil sight glass: the oil level is visible at all times, the oil change runs through the drain screw
The 4-way manifold set
Four ports instead of two: besides high and low pressure there is one port for the vacuum pump and one for the refrigerant cylinder. You do not have to re-plug anything when switching between evacuating and charging – that saves time and prevents air from entering the system during the change. The set is scaled for R134a, R410A and R22.
Please note: R1234yf requires its own couplers and a separate service unit, because the refrigerants must not be mixed.
Important note on certification
Work on air conditioning systems with fluorinated refrigerants requires a certificate of competence (EU Regulation 517/2014). Refrigerant must not be released into the atmosphere. This tool is intended for specialist businesses and certified users.

Frequently asked questions
Why does an air conditioning system have to be evacuated?
Why does an air conditioning system have to be evacuated?
Because air and above all moisture have no place in the system. Moisture forms acid together with the refrigerant, which attacks the compressor from the inside. The vacuum lowers the pressure so far that residual moisture evaporates at room temperature and is drawn off. Only then is the system charged.
What do 4.8 CFM and 5 Pa mean?
What do 4.8 CFM and 5 Pa mean?
4.8 CFM is the flow rate, about 136 litres per minute – it determines how quickly the system is empty. 5 Pa is the ultimate vacuum, that is how deep the pump pulls. The deeper, the more completely residual moisture evaporates. 5 Pa is sufficient for vehicle air conditioning and domestic systems.

How often does the oil have to be changed?
How often does the oil have to be changed?
Vacuum pump oil binds the extracted moisture and turns cloudy as a result. Change it as soon as it looks milky – with regular use roughly after every larger job. The oil sight glass shows level and condition, the old oil drains through the drain screw.
