Before an air conditioning system is charged it has to be evacuated. The vacuum pulls air and above all moisture out of the system – moisture forms acid together with the refrigerant and destroys the compressor over time. This set brings pump and gauges together so you do not have to buy two tools separately.

The 4-way manifold set
Four ports instead of two: besides high and low pressure there is one port for the vacuum pump and one for the refrigerant cylinder. You do not have to re-plug anything when switching between evacuating and charging – that saves time and prevents air from entering the system during the change. The set is scaled for R134a, R410A and R22.
Please note: R1234yf requires its own couplers and a separate service unit, because the refrigerants must not be mixed.
Important note on certification
Work on air conditioning systems with fluorinated refrigerants requires a certificate of competence (EU Regulation 517/2014). Refrigerant must not be released into the atmosphere. This tool is intended for specialist businesses and certified users.

Because air and above all moisture have no place in the system. Moisture forms acid together with the refrigerant, which attacks the compressor from the inside. The vacuum lowers the pressure so far that residual moisture evaporates at room temperature and is drawn off. Only then is the system charged.
