Autel MaxiFlash Elite – J2534 pass-thru interface for ECU programming

The Autel MaxiFlash Elite is a multi-protocol pass-thru vehicle communication interface (VCI) and, according to the manufacturer, a fully compliant device to SAE J2534-1 and SAE J2534-2. It connects the workshop PC to the diagnostic bus of modern vehicles and is specifically designed for the programming and reprogramming of electronic control units (ECUs). Autel names reliability, high speed and flexibility as its key characteristics – the fast hardware also programs newer ECU generations quickly. A professional tool in workshop quality for independent workshops that commercially replace, reflash or update control units.

Two ways to use it: as a J2534 device on the PC or with Autel MaxiSys

1. Standalone on the PC with OEM software: As a standard J2534 pass-thru device, the MaxiFlash Elite works with original manufacturer applications – according to Autel, compatible with Toyota Techstream, Volvo VIDA, Honda HDS, Jaguar/Land Rover IDS and BMW 3G for OEM diagnostics and ECU reprogramming. Please note: the respective OEM software including manufacturer access/license is not included in the scope of delivery and must be obtained separately from the vehicle manufacturer.

2. In combination with Autel diagnostic tablets: The MaxiFlash Elite works with the Autel devices MK908, MK908P, MS908 (S/Pro) and MaxiSys Elite to program control units on certain BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Rugged and flexibly connected

The interface communicates with the PC or tablet either wirelessly via Bluetooth (V2.1 + EDR) or via USB 2.0. Power is supplied with 12 to 24 V DC directly from the vehicle – making the device also suitable for use on vans with a 24 V on-board network. According to the manufacturer, the rugged housing is designed for harsh workshop environments, and the firmware can be updated over the internet.

If delivery to the customer was not possible and the shipping company returns the shipped goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs for the unsuccessful shipment. This does not apply if the customer exercises their right of withdrawal by refusing acceptance, if they are not responsible for the circumstance that led to the impossibility of delivery, or if they were temporarily prevented from accepting, unless the seller announced the service to them a reasonable time in advance.
