The Harley-Davidson adapter cable connects the 6-pin Harley-Davidson diagnostic connector to the standard 16-pin OBD2 socket. Existing OBD2 diagnostic devices, workshop interfaces and Bluetooth adapters can therefore continue to be used on the motorcycle without a special solution.

Harley-Davidson 6 Pin or 4 Pin – which cable fits?

Depending on the machine, Harley-Davidson uses different diagnostic connectors. There are motorcycles with a 6-pin and motorcycles with a 4-pin diagnostic port. The two are not mechanically compatible – a 6-pin cable does not fit a 4-pin socket and vice versa.

This cable is the 6-pin version with the six-pole round connector. If the diagnostic connector on your motorcycle has only four contacts, you need our Harley-Davidson 4 Pin adapter cable instead.

If in doubt, simply count the contacts in the socket on the vehicle – that is the safest way to the right version.
