What the module is for
Many workshops start with an X431 for cars and gradually take on commercial vehicles: vans with a 24 V system, trucks, buses, construction and agricultural machinery. Instead of buying a second complete tool, the SmartLink C 2.0 extends the existing tablet by exactly that area. The familiar interface stays, only the vehicle range grows.
What the module can do
- Full system diagnostics on commercial vehicles: read and clear fault codes, live data streams, freeze frame values
- Special functions and active test: actuate components and check the reaction
- Protocols: CAN, CAN FD, DoIP and J2534 – the standards current commercial vehicles require
- Connection: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB and wired LAN

The SmartLink C 2.0 replaces the older HDIII module. The most important difference in practice: the HDIII does not work with the X431 PRO5, the SmartLink C 2.0 does. On top of that come the newer protocols and the LAN connection.
Important note on vehicle coverage
Which vehicles, control units and functions are actually available depends on the X431 tablet used, the software activated on it and on the manufacturer, model and year of the vehicle. Full commercial vehicle capability requires the corresponding commercial vehicle software on the tablet. Call us before you buy – we will check your combination together.

Goods are regularly delivered by shipping to the delivery address provided by the customer. The delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process is decisive for the transaction. Deviating from this, if PayPal is selected as the payment method, the delivery address stored by the customer with PayPal at the time of payment is decisive.
If delivery to the customer was not possible and the shipping company returns the shipped goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs for the unsuccessful shipment. No. The SmartLink C 2.0 is an add-on module and is operated together with a matching X431 tablet. According to LAUNCH the compatible ranges are X431 V+, X431 PRO3S and PRO3S+ as well as X431 PRO5. Without such a tool the module cannot be used. If you are unsure whether your tablet is among them, call us before you buy.

To the vehicle through the diagnostic socket, to the tablet over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. In addition USB and LAN are available – LAN is particularly useful during programming, because the connection is more stable than over radio.
