With this original OTOFIX update licence you extend the software and vehicle data updates for your OTOFIX D1 Max or D1 Max 2 by a further 12 months. During this time your device receives all updates released by the manufacturer – including extensions of the vehicle coverage, new diagnostic and service functions as well as bug fixes. This keeps your diagnostic device up to date in everyday workshop use and also covers newly released vehicle models.
Which devices is this licence for?
This update licence jointly covers the models OTOFIX D1 Max and D1 Max 2. For other OTOFIX models – such as the OTOFIX D1 Lite, D1, D1 Pro or D1 ProS2 – we offer separate update licences. The serial number of your device is always decisive.
How activation works
After the purchase, simply let us know the serial number of your device (during the order process or by e-mail). We activate the update licence for your serial number and you receive the activation code conveniently by e-mail. Then simply log in to the device as usual with your OTOFIX account and download the updates directly via Wi-Fi.
The device remains fully functional even without an extension
Important to know: when the update period expires, your OTOFIX D1 Max or D1 Max 2 remains fully functional and fully usable with the last installed software version. The extension is not mandatory – it is worthwhile for every independent workshop that wants to cover new vehicle models and the current range of functions in professional quality.

Goods are regularly delivered by shipping to the delivery address provided by the customer. The delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process is decisive for the transaction. Deviating from this, if PayPal is selected as the payment method, the delivery address stored by the customer with PayPal at the time of payment is decisive.
If delivery to the customer was not possible and the shipping company returns the shipped goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs for the unsuccessful shipment. This does not apply if the customer exercises their right of withdrawal by refusing acceptance, if they are not responsible for the circumstance that led to the impossibility of delivery, or if they were temporarily prevented from accepting, unless the seller announced the service to them a reasonable time in advance.
You can choose to pay by bank transfer (prepayment), PayPal (direct debit and credit card via PayPal), Klarna (purchase on account or installment payment), Shop Pay, Google Pay or cash on delivery. If cash on delivery is selected as the payment method, an additional fee of €9.99 will be charged.
Free shipping within Germany for orders over €50.
Shipping costs within the EU are €14.99. For orders over €100, shipping within the entire EU is free.
The delivery time within Germany is usually 1–3 business days.
Worldwide shipping – to countries outside the EU – is also available. The applicable shipping costs are calculated and displayed during checkout depending on the destination country. For deliveries to countries outside the EU, additional customs duties, import taxes or other charges may apply, which are to be borne by the customer.
Digital licences and unlocks
Update licences, Secure Gateway unlocks and HaynesPro access are digital content. No shipping costs apply – you receive the activation code by email once payment has been received, usually within 1–3 working days.
If the licence is tied to a device, enter your device serial number directly in the order form when purchasing. That way we can set up the activation for your device without having to ask.
Please note: with digital licences the right of withdrawal lapses as soon as we have begun supplying them and you have expressly agreed to this beforehand. For devices and all other goods the statutory right of withdrawal applies unchanged.
