Description
Description
Thinkcar ACT20 – circuit tester for fast fault finding in the vehicle wiring
- ✔ Tests 12-volt and 24-volt systems – measuring range up to 36 V
- ✔ Measure voltage, current and resistance, plus polarity, continuity and ground tests
- ✔ Activate components directly: apply power or ground through the probe to motors, relays and lights
- ✔ 1.77-inch colour display, built-in light and 6 m cable for the whole vehicle
The Thinkcar ACT20 is a compact automotive circuit tester for independent workshops, the professional diagnostic bay and mobile fault finding. It connects to the vehicle battery and shows at the probe tip whether a wire carries power, ground or nothing at all. This lets you find broken wires, poor ground connections and short circuits in workshop quality without first setting up a multimeter with two test leads.
Measure, test and activate with one tool
The ACT20 measures DC and AC voltage, current and resistance and shows the values on its 1.77-inch colour display. A red and a green indicator mark positive and ground, and open circuits are detected as well. Switches, relays and diodes can be tested, and with the power switch you apply power or ground directly through the probe to a component – for example to run a fan motor, a light or a relay without removing the control unit.
For wiring, fuses, relays and consumers
Typical jobs are checking fuses and connectors, tracing ground problems, testing actuators and consumers and troubleshooting lighting and trailer sockets. The 6 m cable reaches from the battery to the rear of the vehicle, and the built-in light helps in the dark footwell and at the fuse box.
Please note
When activating components directly, battery current flows through the probe. Only activate components that are suitable for it, and never control-unit inputs or sensor wires. If you have questions about correct use, feel free to call us.

What can I test with the ACT20?
You measure DC and AC voltage, current and resistance, test polarity, continuity and ground and detect open circuits and short circuits. Switches, relays and diodes can also be tested. The values appear on the 1.77-inch colour display, and positive and ground are additionally shown in colour.
How does direct component activation work?
How does direct component activation work?
With the power switch you apply power or ground directly through the probe to a component such as a motor, relay or light. This shows whether the component itself works. Only activate suitable consumers, never control-unit inputs or sensor wires.
