The THINKCAR Thinktool 391 is a professional workshop-grade car diagnostic tablet for independent workshops and commercial use. On its 10.1-inch touchscreen it reads all installed control units – engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body and comfort electronics – shows fault codes in plain text, displays live data as graphs and actuates components via bi-directional actuator tests. Coding and adaptations after replacing parts are done directly on the device.

The set includes the compact THINKLINK Lite diagnostic interface with its own display and control buttons. It plugs into the OBD2 socket and transmits the data to the tablet via Bluetooth – you move freely around the vehicle. The rugged tablet with rubber housing and stand has 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and a 12,600 mAh battery.

Vehicle coverage

According to the manufacturer, the Thinktool 391 supports more than 120 car brands from Europe, Asia and America – 12-volt cars from model year 1996; our supplier lists cars and vans. Online programming is available for Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Škoda, Seat, Porsche, Land Rover, Jaguar, Renault, Nissan, Subaru, Hyundai, Kia, Honda and MG, among others. Software for electric and commercial vehicles is available as a paid extension and is not included.

Important note on vehicle coverage: These figures describe the overall scope the device can cover across all supported brands – they do not mean that every brand, model and function is automatically fully supported. Which vehicles and functions are available always depends on manufacturer, model, model year and control unit. Ask us before you buy – we are happy to check your vehicles.

Availability depends on the vehicle.

• Video remote diagnostics: a specialist joins via audio and video link and supports diagnostics, coding and programming from a distance.
• Intelligent vehicle identification: the VIN is read automatically from the control unit or scanned with the camera.
• Guided functions for the VW Group brands (VW, Audi, Škoda, Seat): adaptations and basic settings are explained step by step.
• Secure Gateway: unlocks for VAG, FCA, Mercedes, Renault and Dacia are available as an additional licence.

2-year update guarantee

The price includes 2 years of free software updates. The updates continuously extend vehicle coverage and add new functions. After the update period the device remains fully functional with the last installed version; an extension is possible.

Delivery

Delivery is made to the delivery address provided by the customer during the ordering process. By way of exception, where PayPal is selected as the payment method, the delivery address stored with PayPal at the time of payment is decisive.

If delivery to the customer was not possible and the transport company returns the goods to the seller, the customer bears the costs of the unsuccessful delivery. This does not apply where the customer exercises their right of withdrawal by refusing acceptance, where they are not responsible for the circumstance that made delivery impossible, or where they were temporarily prevented from accepting the goods – unless the seller had given them reasonable advance notice of the delivery.

Delivery area and delivery time

We deliver to Germany, to the 26 other countries of the European Union and to Switzerland and the United Kingdom. We are currently unable to deliver to other countries.

For deliveries to Switzerland and the United Kingdom, customs duties, import taxes or other charges may be incurred in addition; these are borne by the customer.

The delivery time within Germany is usually 1–3 working days.

Payment methods

You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro), PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account or instalments), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, advance payment by bank transfer or cash on delivery.

Cash on delivery is only available for deliveries within Germany from an order value of €50. An additional fee of €9.99 is charged for it.

Digital licences and activations

Update licences, secure gateway activations and HaynesPro access are digital goods. No shipping costs apply – you will receive the activation code by email once payment has been received, usually within 1–3 working days.

If the licence is tied to a device, enter your device’s serial number directly in the order form when purchasing. That way we can set up the activation for your device without further enquiries.

Please note: for digital licences the right of withdrawal expires as soon as we have begun providing the item and you have expressly agreed to this beforehand. For devices and all other goods, the statutory right of withdrawal applies unchanged.
